Founded in 2016, Kizomba Infinity Asia organised and ushered the year 2017 with the launch of the FIRST 36 HOURS NON-STOP KIZOMBA WEEKEND IN ASIA.

Prior to the key event, we also organised the FIRST KIZOMBA FLASHMOB IN MALAYSIA, combined with AFRO-LATIN AFTERNOON PARTY supported by our venue sponsors, THE SCHOOL BY JAYA ONE and FRONTERA SOL OF MEXICO. Never forget the support from our main sponsor HUGOS BY MODESTOS.

Moving forward, Kizomba infinity Asia set its mission from organising a series of parties to curate and create high quality contents in order to elevate the spirit of Kizombeiros, improve the experience and expand the Kizomba and Semba community in the region.

We invite international artists to work with artists in Asia and Pacific, organising workshops, teacher training courses, conferences, encourage knowledge sharing to bring the art of Afro music and dance to new height, and of course, Non-Stop Parties!

"DJ Selva is one of the most sought after Afro-Latin DJs and Emcees in Asia. Reputed as the prodigal “crowd-pleaser”, his early training in classical music from the age of 6 and experience as a DJ in R&B dance clubs from the tender age of 17 has helped him gain an invaluable skill in the art of music-mixing and crowd-pleasing. Coupled with outstanding work ethic, DJ Selva has established himself as one of the biggest names in the Asian Afro-Latin industry. He is regularly invited to share his music at some of the biggest festivals and congresses, equally renowned for his mixes in Kizomba as he is in Salsa, Bachata & Zouk.

DJ Selva was given due recognition as a world-class Afro-Latin DJ when he was invited to be the resident DJ at the World Bachata Festival 2012 in Kuala Lumpur. He has since been invited to numerous events alongside some of the best Afro-Latin DJs in the region in many different countries including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Phillipines, Vietnam, India, East Timor & Japan.  

DJ Selva’s introduction to Kizomba in 2011 and many years of practice thereafter has lead to his status as one of the most popular Kizomba DJs in Asia. To his credit, he has been invited to DJ at many events featuring some of the biggest artistes in world Kizomba including Kwenda Lima, Albir Rojas, Sara Lopez, Sara Panero, Laurent Yishu, Adeline Sudois, Felicien & Isabelle Rossa, Helio Santos, Ronie Saleh, Enah Lebon, etc.

Azlan A Mckechnie
Azlan originally from the United Kingdom, was Introduced to Kizomba in 2006 at a workshop by Kwenda Lima held in England. He is also credited with pioneering and growing the Kizomba scene in Malaysia since moving there in 2011.

He has taught dance to students as well as instructors all around the word including the UK, Africa, Australia and Asia, and currently runs regular dance classes at multiple venues in Malaysia where he resides.

Known for his humour and high energy in class, Azlan’s classes are always fun from beginner to advanced level. His ability to break down the technique, allows even the most inexperienced dancer to grasp the fundamentals of the dance, armed with the tools to improve their dancing even after the class has ended.

Mabel Kok
Mabel’s passion for dancing started early with her love for Latin dances. Upon completing her gold exam in the 5 Latin ballroom dances under the ISTD in 2004, she went to explore NY Salsa On2 under the guidance of Professor Gupson Pierre (Attitude Dance Singapore), and Gavin Chan (Outcast Dance Studio, Malaysia). She's performed in international salsa congresses and festivals, including the LA Salsa Congress in 2005.

She was introduced to Kizomba by Azlan in April 2015 and never looked back since. Their combined passion in dance, coupled with Azlan’s vast experience in teaching and choreography, has created a dynamic force in KL and around Asia for Kizomba.
